I saw this video and it sparked a mini-rant!

It doesn’t matter if you’re 25, 35, or 45 and haven’t figured out what you want to do yet. If people give you hate because that describes you, ask yourself this: are they living “a life less ordinary,” or are they going the boring, safe route?

I am here to tell you IT DOESN’T MATTER if you haven’t figured it out yet.

I didn’t figure it out until I was 43 (and I’m STILL fine-tuning it). I caught a lot of grief from so-called friends—and even true friends—about changing jobs and even careers constantly, while a lot of them stayed in the same RUT for six, seven, eight, nine years.

But guess what? All of that jumping around allowed me to taste what’s out there.

And you know what else? It gave me the experience to be recruited to an executive role when I wasn’t even looking for one.

The CEO who recruited me could tell after five minutes of working with me that I had the breadth of experience he was looking for in his business.

This isn’t to toot my own horn, it’s to share a simple truth: stop trying to measure up to what other people expect of you.

It doesn’t matter. It’s YOUR life, not theirs.

Keep looking until you find what you love.
